Originally from Australia, my physical discipline began young as a gymnast, which progressed into a circus career as an Acrobat and Trapeze Artist. I have lived in 5 countries and visited over 25. Initially yoga was a complimentary practice to my career, & a way to understand different cultures around the world, but it became so much more.
An adverse childhood took its toll on my body and life and through a collection of traumas, bad decisions, illnesses and injuries, it showed me what else it had to offer.
Yoga has been significant in my healing of PTSD, a severe neck injury, heart attack, and the list go on into the past, because it has helped me move through & forward. So can you! Yoga is good for anyone with a will to live, because it helps you understand life, and therefore have a better one.
Sanela is yoga alliance E-RYT 500 accredited. She trained with Bikram Choudhary in 2012.
Her deeper yoga education has continued with Simon Borg Olivier a student of B.K.S Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois and T.K.V Desikachar, Master Zhen Hua Yang ( shaolin temple traditions,) as well as a research Scientist and a physiotherapist.
Sanela is trained in trauma sensitive yoga, yin yoga, children’s yoga and is a qualified Ayurvedic Level 1 therapist. Most recently she trained in HIIT Pilates.
She is committed to continued education, practice, and teaching of yoga.
